Future Science’s Bioanalysis journal selected for ISI coverage
Future Science has revealed that its medical journal Bioanalysis has been accepted for coverage by the ISI science citation index service.
The monthly publication, which appears in both print and online formats, has been selected in order to fill a niche in the ISI index, thereby bringing Bioanalysis content to a wider global audience.
ISI is maintained by Thomson Scientific and provides bibliographic databases covering several thousand academic journals, allowing researchers to isolate articles that have been frequently cited.
Elisa Manzotti, editorial director of the Future Science series, said the inclusion of Bioanalysis is a testament to the work of its editorial team, as well as being a sign of the growing importance of the specialist field.
She added: "We … will work with the senior editors of the journal to ensure that future issues of Bioanalysis keep pace with the huge amount of research being generated."
Bioanalysis was originally launched in 2009 and is set to become a fortnightly publication as of January 2011.
