Dechra releases anti-inflammation product Ketodale
Dechra Veterinary Products has announced the launch of a new anti-inflammation product designed to treat a number of common conditions affecting cattle, swine and horses.
The animal health company has introduced Ketodale – which is described as a cost-effective injection-based treatment option – alongside a direct marketing campaign to raise awareness of the drug.
Ketodale will be made available in 50ml and 100ml vials and is based on the non-steroidal anti-inflammatory agent ketoprofen.
Among pigs, it will be utilised as a therapy for Mastitis Metritis Agalactia syndrome and respiratory tract infections, while also offering protection from osteoarticular and musculoskeletal disorders in cattle.
It is additionally specified as a treatment for conditions such as naviculitis, arthritis and laminitis among equines, as well as for post-surgical inflammation, colic and fever.
Last month, Dechra launched two new additions to its Veterinary Essentials range in the form of the sedative product Alvegesic vet and the antibiotic Clavudale.
