Biohit reorganises diagnostics management team

Biohit has made changes to the organisational structure of its diagnostics management team as of the beginning of this month.

The new-look management team includes Lea Paloheimo as its product portfolio management leader, Kalle Harkonen in charge of operations and Josefin Hoviniemi heading communications.

Yrjo Wichmann continues to be responsible for the business unit as general director of diagnostics, while Jussi Heinio retains overall leadership as president and chief executive officer of Biohit.

The changes, which came into effect on October 1st 2010, follows the reorganisation of Biohit's liquid handling management team in July this year.

Biohit explained: "The reform reflects the new approach to make the business planning and operations more efficient and develop the company's business in a truly international direction."

Last week, the firm launched a new version of its fecal occult blood test ColonView, which is designed to provide more ease of analysis.
