Both books were commended as being among the best publications in their respective markets and for the expertise they provide to researchers and students.
In addition to these wins, a further 22 Elsevier books were highly commended at the ceremony, which took place in London on September 14th 2010.
Linda Belfus, senior vice-president for global clinical reference at Elsevier, said: "This is an amazing achievement and reflects Elsevier's dedication to developing and delivering quality content across the healthcare spectrum."
Earlier this month, the company announced that publishing industry veteran Suzanne BeDell has recently been appointed as the new managing director of its science and technology books business unit.
