Nalco has had its environmental and corporate responsibility policies recognised via inclusion in the Dow Jones World Sustainability Index.
The science company was included in the ranking thanks to the firm's successes in reducing environmental impact, with products and services such as its 3D Trasar cooling water automation technology also helping other businesses become more sustainable.
It was named among the top performers according to measures such as innovation management, operational eco-efficiency, occupational health and safety and environmental policy/management system.
This represents the third consecutive year in which Nalco has been featured in the Dow Jones global index.
J Erik Fyrwald, Nalco's chairman and chief executive officer, said: "This continuing recognition reflects our commitment to our vision of earning customers for life and enhancing the lives of our employees while protecting the planet."
Nalco saw a strong second quarter of 2010, according to the firm's most recent fiscal report, recording an organic growth rate of 17 per cent during the three months.
