Posted on 01/09/2010 in Medical Company Product News Siemens Healthcare is attending the European Society of Cardiology (ESC) Congress 2010 in order to demonstrate its latest range of advances for heart surgeons.
The medical technology firm is demonstrating new approaches, imaging methods and software solutions at the event, such as the syngo Aortic ValveGuide image processing software for angiography.
This advance utilises 3D imaging to assist in transcatheter aortic valve implantation, while another syngo product - the syngo Dynamic PET with Myocardial Blood Flow - provides definitive measurement of myocardial blood flow for evaluating the extent of ischemia.
Other technology on display includes the new 1.5 release of the Acuson SC2000 volume imaging ultrasound system and the NT-proBNP/BNP assays.
Siemens states that these products will "provide a higher quality of patient care and contribute at the same time to reducing costs".
This comes after the company attended the American Association for Clinical Chemistry's 2010 clinical lab expo in July 2010, where it showcased devices such as the syngo Lab Process Manager. Other news stories from 01/09/2010
