Posted on 27/08/2010 in Animal Health Supplier News Idexx Laboratories has upgraded the capabilities of its SNAPshot Dx Analyzer by introducing new compatibility with the SNAP Feline Triple Test.
The unit will now be able to automatically read and record results on factors such as FIV, FeLV and feline heartworm results from the testing device, while saving the information to an electronic record.
This allows clinics to improve their efficiency and reduces the time spent manually operating the system, as well as minimising the likelihood of lost charges.
It means that the SNAPshot Dx Analyzer is now compatible with a wider range of qualitative testing devices, including the SNAP 4Dx Test, SNAP FIV/FeLV Combo Test and SNAP cPL Test.
Mike Sullivan, marketing director for Idexx's rapid assay unit, said: "By continuing to increase the number of SNAP tests available for the SNAPshot Dx Analyzer, we are ensuring veterinarians have the tools they need to practice medicine in the way they want."
Last month, Idexx Laboratories reported its financial results for the second quarter of the year, during which its revenues rose by six per cent year-on-year. Other news stories from 27/08/2010
