| BMI Healthcare to upgrade Nottingham hospital | Posted on 27/08/2010 in Pharmaceutical Company Product News BMI Healthcare has commenced a programme of upgrades to its BMI The Park Hospital facility in Nottingham, which will cost a total of 7.8 million pounds.
The private healthcare provider is looking to equip the hospital with a fully-integrated surgical and intensive care unit, providing modern operating theatres for a range of surgery types and superior equipment for critical patients.
It means the facility will be equipped with four operating theatres with laminar flow ventilation for the reduction of infections, while a separate endoscopy unit is also being built.
These new state-of-the-art facilities are set to be opened in autumn 2011 and will make BMI Healthcare the first private healthcare provider in Nottingham to offer services of this kind.
John Pickering, executive director at BMI The Park Hospital, said: "We are committed to continuous improvement of clinical facilities and services and the new fully integrated unit will be vital in helping us to maintain the high quality of care we provide to Nottingham."
