Dechra Veterinary Products has provided sponsorship for a veterinary nurse employed by the University of Edinburgh's Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies.
The company is offering support to Sara-Ann Dickson, a specialist feline nurse who helps to promote cat health issues at the school's hospital for small animals.
Among Ms Dickson's responsibilities as the designated Dechra Feline Nurse are the provision of training for final-year veterinary students and giving lectures on various topics, as well as caring for and treating animals.
Matthew Olsen, product manager for Dechra Veterinary Products, praised the commitment of Ms Dickson and the standards promoted by the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies.
He added: "Dechra is committed to the support of veterinary staff and this is just one of many projects we are involved in."
This comes in the same week that the company presented a University of Liverpool veterinary science student with its annual Dechra Veterinary Products Dermatology Prize.
