Posted on 26/08/2010 in Pharmacy Supplier News Teva is expanding its UK market presence with the launch of a new range of over-the-counter (OTC) generic products.
The company is responding to in an increased government emphasis on self-care by launching a new analgesic, gastrointestinal, cough and cold and allergy range this month, reports Chemist and Druggist.
It will be accompanied by a national media campaign commencing this autumn, while a women's health line is also planned for introduction early in 2011.
Ryan Ruscoe, brand manager for OTC products at Teva, stated that the launch will help the company to keep ahead of market trends in the increasingly important self-medication market.
This comes after Teva completed its takeover of ratiopharm, the second-largest generics manufacturer in Europe, earlier this month.
The deal has seen Teva become the largest generic pharmaceuticals company in Europe, assuming market-leading positions in ten countries and supporting the firm's overall long-term growth strategies. Other news stories from 26/08/2010
