Posted on 26/08/2010 in Scientific Source BioScience has published its half-yearly financial report for the first six months of 2010, during which the firm has continued to experience business growth.
The science company saw revenue of 6.9 million pounds during the period, compared to 6.7 million pounds in the first half of 2009, while it also moved from a 29,000 pound loss to a 17,000 pound operating profit in the same time frame.
According to the firm, the six months have also been marked by record levels of business activity, having recently agreed a cancer screening contract with Cervical Screening Wales and a genetic testing agreement with AstraZeneca.
The company stated that this performance, which was achieved despite challenging market conditions, is expected to underpin further growth during the full year period.
Laurie Turnbull, chairman of Source BioScience, said: "We have continued with our strategy of controlled growth for the business, focusing on our key strengths as an expert provider of high quality laboratory services and products."
This builds upon the progress made by the company during 2009, a year which saw the firm achieve profitability for the first time in its history. Other news stories from 26/08/2010
