Posted on 25/08/2010 in Scientific Horiba Medical has been selected as a provider of equipment and associated services by the haematology departments of the Cardiff and Vale University Health Board.
The company, in partnership with Genmed, has been awarded a 15-year managed service contract which will see it provide haematology analysers and laboratory automation systems for use in facilities such as the University Hospital of Wales.
According to the health board, this arrangement will help to deliver cost savings and establish a long-term working relationship which will ultimately benefit its patients.
It also means that Horiba will be able to provide the board with access to its latest technological innovations over the coming years.
Cleve Wright, UK manager for the firm, said the agreement "demonstrates a trust and confidence in Horiba Medical to continue to deliver expert service and support for the next 15 years".
This comes after Horiba Medical assisted Welsh firm Synergy Health Laboratory Services in upgrading its pathology lab's haematology analysers last month. Other news stories from 25/08/2010
