Ark Therapeutics reports fiscal growth in first half of 2010
Ark Therapeutics has published its financial results for the first six months of 2010, reporting double-digit growth in a number of key areas.
The medical technology firm's revenue for the half-year came to 1.4 million pounds, compared to 665,000 pounds in the corresponding period of last year, with the majority of this coming from sales of woundcare products in the UK.
This trend was attributed to the growth of the KerraMax range since its 2008 debut, as well as the strong performance of its Kerraped and Flaminal products.
Other key developments taking place at Ark Therapeutics in the last half-year include the ending of discussions regarding a potential offer for the company, as well as the appointment of Iain Ross as a consultant.
This proposal was announced last month and will also see Mr Ross become a non-executive member of the board.
It was also revealed that Dr Wolfgang Plischke and Sir Mark Richmond will be stepping down from their positions on the board following the company's meeting this month.
