Posted on 29/07/2010 in Medical Company Product News Boston Scientific has announced the launch of a new neurovascular stent which is designed to offer flexible and intuitive performance benefits.
The Neuroform EZ stent has been released in Europe and the US and is a fourth-generation intracranial aneurysm stent for the treatment of wide-necked aneurysms.
Through its use of Segmental Expansion technology, it is optimised to offer anchored, stable performance while also being flexible and conformable, meaning it is ideal for use in tortuous brain anatomy.
It also uses a simplified, single-operator delivery system which has been praised by clinicians who have used the device as making potentially difficult procedures easier to perform.
Mark Paul, president of Boston Scientific's neurovascular division, said: "The Neuroform EZ stent system reinforces our commitment to providing advanced treatment options focused on improving patient care."
Last week, Boston Scientific reported its financial results from the second quarter of 2010, highlighting the strong performance of products such as the Promus Element stent in recent months. Other news stories from 29/07/2010
