| BD announces new board member appointment | Posted on 28/07/2010 in Medical Company Restructures BD has announced the appointment of Christopher Jones as a new member of its board of directors, effective immediately.
Mr Jones is to become the 14th member of the medical technology firm's board and is the former chief executive officer of major international advertising agency JWT Worldwide.
He has notable experience in the healthcare sector as the chair of the board of UK diagnostic services organisation the Pavilion Clinic, while he is also involved with the Oxford Clinic and the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.
Edward Ludwig, BD's chairman and chief executive officer, said the company is honoured to welcome Mr Jones' "valuable insight" to its organisation.
He added: "Chris brings to the board unique global expertise and perspective developed through his extensive and diverse international business experiences."
Earlier this month, BD revealed that it will launch new dried reagents for CD4 monitoring next year, designed specifically to address the needs of those in developing areas. Other news stories from 28/07/2010
