Teva UK launches new bursary scheme for pharmacy students

Teva UK has announced the return of its student bursary scheme as part of its ongoing commitment to support pharmacies in Britain.
The healthcare company is offering payments of 500 pounds per year of study to UK-based students on pharmacy courses who would otherwise face financial hardship.
It is the third year in a row that this scheme has been conducted, with the company having offered financial support to five students last year.
Lynda Wilebore, Teva's UK human resources director, stated that this initiative comes as part of the firm's belief in supporting community projects relevant to its area of operations.
She said: "This means we're not only interested in supporting the pharmacists of today, but also in ensuring the pharmacists of tomorrow get the best possible start."
This comes after the company last month highlighted its work in supporting community group the Castleford Heritage Trust since establishing a Teva base of operations in the area in 2009.
