Edelman restructures bioscience division

19th July 2010

Edelman has made a number of changes to the structure of its bioscience division as it looks to improve the efficiency of its business.

Under the new changes, Edelman’s ethical healthcare division head Steven Spurr is to take responsibility for leading the team, which deals with advisory board management, market access support and clinical trial recruitment, reports PRWeek.

He will replace David Noble, who is leaving the organisation after heading the specialist medical communications business unit for more than three years.

Robert Phillips, chief executive officer of Edelman UK, explained that the move has been made as part of a management restructure designed to improve internal communication.

He said: “The bioscience and Rx divisions will remain separate, but will be headed by Steve. We are reorganising internally to have more fluent interaction between the teams.”

Earlier this year, Edelman announced the appointment of Peter Zarko-Flynn as the new associate director of Edelman Health.
