Posted on 19/07/2010 in Pharmaceutical Company Product News Bayer Schering Pharma has agreed to collaborate with a hospital in China in order to conduct research into women's healthcare projects.
The research collaboration agreement will see the pharmaceuticals firm provide funding to the People's Liberation Army General Hospital in Beijing, also known as 301 Hospital.
It will allow staff from both organisations to combine their expertise in order to discover new disease models and disease understanding, with gynaecological issues to be the initial focus.
Bayer Schering Pharma expressed confidence that this partnership will benefit patients both in China and across the world.
Professor Andreas Busch, member of the board of management and head of global drug discovery at Bayer Schering Pharma, said: "Working together with the experts from The People's Liberation Army General Hospital will help us to bring new therapies faster to patients suffering from gynaecological diseases, like endometriosis and uterine fibroids."
Last week, Bayer Schering Pharma published data from a recent symposium which highlighted the benefits of combined oral contraceptive use among women.Other news stories from 19/07/2010
