| GE Healthcare appoints general manager for X-ray unit | Posted on 15/07/2010 in Medical Company Restructures GE Healthcare has announced the appointment Anne LeGrand as the new vice-president and general manager of its global X-ray business unit.
Ms LeGrand has previously been employed by firms such as Eastman Kodak and most recently served as senior vice-president and general manager of Philips Healthcare's ultrasound business unit.
She brings more than 25 years of medical imaging sector experience to GE Healthcare, as well as knowledge of how to operate worldwide medical business units.
Omar Ishrak, president and chief executive officer of GE Healthcare Systems, praised Ms LeGrand for her "business acumen, deep global experience and strong operational focus".
He added that these attributed will be instrumental in its efforts to "drive the X-ray business beyond traditional boundaries and deliver unique solutions to our customers".
Last month, GE Healthcare provided NHS Central Lancashire with its IntelO Health Guide patient monitoring technology, as part of a pilot scheme which could see the devices rolled out more widely in the UK.Other news stories from 15/07/2010
