The medical technology firm has added Dentsply Friadent as the latest manufacturer to offer compatibility with Atlantis, with its XiVE and Frialit implants being named as the latest choices.
Additionally, existing partner Straumann's Standard/Standard Plus implants have also been made compatible with the Atlantis abutment range.
It means that Astra Tech's abutments are now available for a wide range of prominent implant systems from major companies, including Nobel Biocare, Zimmer Dental and Biomet 3i.
In February 2010, the firm introduced the NobelActive NP 3.5 and RP 4.3, 5.0 implants as new options.
The firm has also outlined plans to continue to introduce additional interfaces and material choices for Atlantis later on in the year.
It said this "further secures Astra Tech's leadership position in providing patient-specific abutments for all major implant systems".Other news stories from 14/07/2010
