Posted on 08/07/2010 in Pharmaceutical Company Product News Novo Nordisk has been revealed as the most highly-regarded company in the endocrinology sector in 2010 by the results of a new survey.
Healthcare sector analyst SDI has published statistics from its annual Pharmaceutical Company Image study, which aims to establish the stature of corporate images among firms based on market success and consumer perception.
It was found that Novo Nordisk was the top-ranking firm among the endocrinologists participating in the study, with company being mentioned by 62 per cent of respondents.
This represented an improvement on its second place performance in last year's poll and coincided with an increase in sales calls made by the company to endocrinologists, discussing products such as Levemir, Victoza and NovoLog.
Lilly placed second in the SDI study, while Sanofi-aventis was ranked third.
Novo Nordisk is currently planning a new clinical trial of Victoza aimed at demonstrating its cardiovascular health benefits among type 2 diabetes patients, with the study set to commence in autumn.Other news stories from 08/07/2010
