Posted on 05/07/2010 in Scientific Sartorius is to expand its offering of process analytics products with the agreement of a new refractometry collaboration with Schmidt and Haensch.
The deal will see Sartorius augment its portfolio with a number of refractometers developed by the measurement technology company, products which Sartorius has described as an "ideal addition" to its range.
These opto-electronic instruments are used in the measurement of concentrations in liquids and can be utilised in laboratories for pharmaceutical industry process control and quality assurance.
Reinhard Vogt, executive vice-president for sales, marketing and service at Sartorius, said this sector is set to be increasingly important due to the strict regulatory requirements under which its clients operate.
He added: "Schmidt and Haensch equipment is a perfect fit for our marketing strategy of operating as a total solution provider for quality assurance in the food and pharmaceutical industries."
Last month, Sartorius' Stedim Biotech division launched its Sartocon Eco range of ultrafilters, which are optimised for the biotechnological and pharmaceutical purification requirements of drug production.Other news stories from 05/07/2010
