Posted on 05/07/2010 in Medical Company Product News B Braun has launched a new packaging solution for its Premilene synthetic suturing product, which helps to provide superior outcomes.
The new RacePack system is designed to provide free continuous suturing in all of the applications for which Premilene is indicated, including microsurgery, intracutaneous skin closure and cardiovascular surgery.
It is intended to help avoid manipulation of the thread, which in turn prevents the deterioration of the suture itself, a key factor in many high precision situations.
B Braun stated that RacePak can help to maximise the reduction of the inherent memory effect of all polypropylene sutures, which "exceeds 40 percent of the memory effect of other products in the market".
It added: "RacePack also allows time saving due to the one step packaging system with direct access to the needle."
In May 2010, B Braun launched Askina DresSil, a soft silicone adhesive foam dressing designed for the treatment of traumatic wounds.Other news stories from 05/07/2010
