Posted on 02/07/2010 in Pharmacy Supplier News Teva UK has highlighted the work it has undertaken to support community group the Castleford Heritage Trust since establishing a presence in the area.
The generic drugs manufacturer, which has been in the area for more than a year, has been assisting the trust in running mosaic workshops involving children, adults and Teva's own employees.
As part of this, local artist Julie Hand joined with other members of the local community to create health and wellbeing-themed mosaic artwork, which is now being displayed at Teva's head office and logistics centre.
Alison Drake, chair of the Castleford Heritage Trust, praised the company for its involvement in local community work, which dates to before the firm moved to the area.
Teva community relations officer Anna Grant added: "We're delighted to be able to offer our support to local community activities like those organised by the Castleford Heritage Trust."
MP Yvette Cooper was present for the opening of Teva's Castleford centre in September last year, with the facility representing a multimillion pound investment which houses 200 employees.Other news stories from 02/07/2010
