Under the terms of the new deal, the science firm is to provide liquid-based cytology equipment and reagents to Cervical Screening Wales until July 2013, with an option for a further two-year extension.
The deal will also allow the Welsh body to test automated imaging technology within its cervical cancer screening programme.

Dr Nick Ash, managing director of Source BioScience, said the new contract represents "a significant vote of confidence in the service and support that we have provided over the past six years".
Earlier this year, Source BioScience began offering a companion diagnostic testing service for UK-based stomach cancer patients, allowing clinicians to determine the potential responsiveness of individuals to the Roche drug Herceptin.Other news stories from 01/07/2010
