Mettler Toledo has received praise for its InspireX x-ray inspection system from pharmaceutical company Pfizer.
The healthcare firm has been utilising the Metter Toledo device, which is marketed in the US under the brandname Safeline PowerChek, for around two years in order to maintain the quality of its over-the-counter products.
Pfizer technical service specialist Francisco Collazo said that prior to using the InspireX technology, the firm was seeing an increasing number of broken tablets and crushed blister packs being unknowingly shipped from its production lines.
However, it has since been able to find and correct these defects thanks to Mettler Toledo's device, which Mr Collazo praised for its ease of use, good performance and dependability.
He said: "We purchased the Safeline PowerChek x-ray two years ago and we have had no problems whatsoever. Reliability is fantastic - we are so pleased with the Mettler-Toledo Safeline system."
Last month, Mettler-Toledo launched a new software application, One Click Standard Preparation, which allows laboratory samples to be produced more efficiently.
