Posted on 18/06/2010 in Pharmacy Supplier News Kimberly-Clark has announced the election of Nancy Karch to its board of directors this week.
Craig Sullivan, the healthcare and personal care firm's nominating and corporate governance committee chair, welcomed Ms Karch as a "great addition" to the board, based on her extensive experience with leading global companies.
Ms Karch is currently director emeritus of the management consulting firm McKinsey and Company and also serves on the board of directors for firms such as Liz Claireborne and MasterCard WorldWide.
Her "strong background in corporate strategy, marketing and consumer packaged goods" was praised as an asset by Thomas Falk, Kimberly-Clark's chairman and chief executive officer.
He added: "This experience, combined with her management consulting background, will greatly benefit our company."
According to the firm's latest financial breakdown, Kimberly-Clark saw a 7.6 per cent year-on-year sales growth in the first quarter of 2010, with its healthcare and consumer products division both seeing improved performance.Other news stories from 18/06/2010
