Posted on 08/06/2010 in Animal Health Supplier News Purina has released a new premium nutritional feed which is designed to promote growth and development in horses.
The animal health and nutrition firm's new Ultium Growth horse formula has been optimised for broodmares and growing animals and helps to promote healthy structural and skeletal development.
It is the product of four years' worth of research and field testing, during which the formula has been shown to have positive effects on body weight and steady growth curves, as well as wither and rump heights.
Dr Mary Beth Gordon, Purina's director of research and new product development and equine nutritionist, stated that the creation of the product involved the collection of "millions of data points".
She added: "We created an industry leading formulation proven to support the development, growth and adaptive physiology necessary to help produce a strong, healthy and athletic horse."
