Posted on 28/05/2010 in Dental Supplier News Sirona's dental imaging application Sidexis XG has been made compatible with Apple's new iPad tablet computer via the launch of new plugin software.
Software solutions provider RSWE has released an upgraded version of its SidexisMobilePlugin software, allowing examination and dental image data to be wirelessly transferred to an iPad.
This data can include any visible Sidexis XG image, such as intraoral X-rays, intra- and extraoral video images or 2D views of Galileos DVT 3D scans, and is sent securely via an existing wi-fi connection.
RSWE states that the large and vivid LED display of the iPad provides a wide viewing angle, allowing visual data to be communicated to patients in a clear and simple manner.
It also states that the software is easy to use, allowing pictures to be sent to the iPad at high speed.
Earlier this month, Sirona expanded its portfolio of dental technology with the launch of ApexLocator, an add-on for the Teneo treatment centre which allows for precise measurement of root canals.Other news stories from 28/05/2010
