Posted on 26/05/2010 in Scientific Waters has revealed two next-generation benchtop mass spectrometers which it describes as the most powerful in their class.
The Xevo TQ-S and Xevo G2 QTof are designed for Waters' Xevo MS platform and are optimised to offer high levels of sensitivity and power in applications such as compound identification, quantification and screening.
Both new units share traits in common with the rest of the Xevo product family, including its easy-to-use universal source architecture, automated IntelliStart technology and compatibility with Waters' Acquity UPLC Systems.
Brian Smith, vice-president of mass spectrometry operations at Waters, said the new products will enhance the firm's "leadership position in high-performance mass spectrometry".
He added: "The new features and innovations scientists will find in our new Xevo mass spectrometers, more than anything else, are intended to deliver results."
Earlier this month, Water launched Empower Driven Services, a system which provides customised laboratory data analysis to allow efficiency reviews to be conducted more easily.Other news stories from 26/05/2010
