Posted on 20/05/2010 in Animal Health Supplier News Pfizer Animal Health is to sponsor a forthcoming annual pig and poultry industry trainee awards event at the House of Commons.
The veterinary medicines firm has allied with the journals Pig World and Poultry World in organising the 2010 Pfizer Trainee of the Year Awards, for which 5,000 pounds worth of prizes have been allocated for the winners.
Pfizer Animal Health will also take responsibility for providing hotel accommodation for those attending the prestigious event, with the awards having been presented by minister for farming and the environment Jim Fitzpatrick last year.
Emmeline Randall, Pfizer product manager, said the awards recognise the importance of those caring for livestock in supporting the success of the pig and poultry industries.
She added: "Training plays a key role and it is encouraging this is being increasingly recognised right through the food chain."
Earlier this month, Pfizer published its financial results for the first quarter of 2010, reporting a 58 per cent year-on-year increase in its animal health division's revenues.Other news stories from 20/05/2010
