Mast Group highlights Lyme disease analysis range

Mast Group has underlined the advantages its range of Lyme borreliosis detection and analysis products can offer to professionals.
The science company is offering a number of tests and assays designed to detect cells and antibodies relating to the infection, which is the most common tick-borne disease in Europe.
These include Mastazyme Borrelia, a range of IgG and IgM Elisa tests for qualitative and quantitative determination, as well as its Mastafluor Borrelia immunofluorescence assays, which detect specific antibodies.
It states that these products, as well as the sensitive Western Blot Mastablot Borrelia, can play a key role in detecting and treating the illness early.
Mast added: "Many features of later infection are not specific to Lyme borreliosis and occur in other conditions and it is therefore important that laboratory diagnosis is performed."
Last month, Mast Group launched the Seeplex HSV multiplex PCR test, a new assay-based testing kit for diagnosing herpes infections.
