Posted on 11/05/2010 in Pharmacy Supplier News Dr Reddy's has published its financial results for the full-year period ending March 31st 2010, during which it experienced a modest year-on-year growth.
The healthcare company's revenues for the fiscal year came to 70.3 billion rupees (1.1 billion pounds), one per cent ahead of its 2009 levels, with growth largely driven by its branded generics business.
Authorised generic sales of sumatriptan were highlighted as playing a key role in the company's enhanced 2010 performance, while UK product sales also saw a significant improvement, growing by 14 per cent year-on-year.
The last year also saw Dr Reddy's launch 103 new generic products, while also filing a total of 126 new product registrations and 36 drug master files.
Earlier this year, the company announced the appointment of Sanjeev Verma as its head for corporate communications and branding.
He joined Dr Reddy's in February and has since taken responsibility for handling media relations and internal communications for the generic medicines specialist.Other news stories from 11/05/2010
