Posted on 10/05/2010 in Pharmaceutical Company Product News Almirall has celebrated the success of its antihistamine treatment Ebastel after announcing that the treatment has now been on sale for 20 years.
The ebastine-based treatment, which is used as a therapy for allergic rhinitis, chronic idiopathic urticaria and allergic dermatitis, has been launched in a number of territories worldwide, including Europe, Asia and Latin America.
It is estimated by Almirall that more than 3.5 billion doses of the treatment have been administered since the product made its market debut, while numerous clinical studies have supported its safety and efficacy.
The drug is also available in a number of different formulations, with its fast-dissolving Flas variant having been launched most recently in 2005.
Almirall also added that the drug has won praise from patients questioned in recent studies, who highlighted Ebastel's effectiveness and its ease of use.
Last month, Almirall launched a new product called Thiomucase extreme areas, a treatment which is designed to provide visible cellulite removal benefits in less than a month.Other news stories from 10/05/2010
