Posted on 26/04/2010 in Animal Health Supplier News Idexx Laboratories has hailed its "solid" performance during the first quarter of 2010 after posting a 14 per cent increase in revenues.
The animal health company revenue figure for the period came to $268.5 million (173.9 million pounds), up from $236.5 million in the first quarter of 2009.
This growth was reflected across the company's companion animal, production animal and water divisions, with its Catalyst Dx chemistry analyser highlighted as a particularly strong performer.
Jonathan Ayers, chairman and chief executive officer of Idexx Laboratories, also expressed confidence that its newly-introduced ProCyte Dx haematology analyser will help to drive sales further over the coming year.
He said: "Having generated high single-digit organic revenue growth in an economic environment that remains challenging is a testament to our success in continued technology, innovation and strong commercial execution across our markets around the world."
