Posted on 21/04/2010 in Scientific Nalco has underlined its commitment to global sustainability schemes by agreeing to co-sponsor an international symposium on the environment.
The Business for Environment Global Summit is taking place in Seoul between April 21st and 23rd 2010, bringing together 1,000 representatives of companies, government bodies and agencies to discuss sustainability challenges.
In addition to acting as a supporting partner, officials from the science company will be giving a talk at the event on the subject of innovation and partnership for sustainable water management.
J Erik Fyrwald, Nalco's chairman and chief executive officer, said its participation in this and other schemes such as the United Nations Global Compact and CEO Water Mandate demonstrate its proactive stance on environmental matters.
He added: "Nalco seeks to bring our expertise to bear on helping to develop balanced, long-term solutions which benefit the environment, the economy and society."
This comes after the company announced last month that it will be helping to fund the World Wildlife Fund's Global Water Roundtable, as well as assisting in the non-profit organisation's water preservation schemes worldwide.Other news stories from 21/04/2010
