Posted on 09/04/2010 in Dental Supplier News PracticeWorks has announced the purchase of dental imaging software company Windent from its former owner Healthsoft.
The deal will see PracticeWorks augment its portfolio with Windent's offering of oral and maxillofacial surgery and dental practice management software.
In addition, PracticeWorks will also absorb the newly-acquired company's workforce and expertise, which it stated will be crucial in ensuring that existing and future Windent customers will continue to receive support.
Patrik Eriksson, chief executive officer of PracticeWorks, stated that the newly-merged companies will be able to deliver a higher standard of practice management, 2D and 3D image software.
He said: "Together, PracticeWorks and Windent will deliver the best-in-class, most highly-integrated digital imaging and practice management software solutions available."
PracticeWorks is a division of Carestream Health and exclusively produces Kodak Dental Systems, with new products due for release this year including the Kodak 9500 Cone Beam 3D System and Kodak 9000C 3D Extraoral Imaging System.Other news stories from 09/04/2010
