Elsevier has launched a new online resource which provides nurses and other healthcare professionals with advice on clinical practice and care planning.
The medical information group's Clinical Practice Model Resource Center (CPMRC) is responsible for the launch of Point of Care Guidelines, a web-based version of its award-winning advisory service.
More than 200 CPMRC guidelines have been made available via the site, allowing professionals to take an evidence-based approach to various medical and surgical patient care issues.
These guidelines have been created using consultation from a wide variety of medical practitioners and are intended to apply at both an educational and practice level.
Donna Mayo, CPMRC's director of product development, said: "The point-and-click knowledge that Point of Care Guidelines provides is necessary for the way many healthcare organisations are supporting evidence-based decision-making and care planning at the point of care in today's tech-based world."
Last week, Elsevier marked the tenth anniversary of its medical publication the Journal of Evidence-Based Dental Practice, commemorating the occasion with a special issue.
