Siemens diabetes analyser ratified for dual reporting functions
Siemens’ DCA Vantage diabetes analyser device has been approved for use by international experts to provide dual reporting functions.
The unit has won a recommendation from the International Federation for Clinical Chemistry after meeting professional requirements relating to haemoglobin A1c analysis and management.
Using the DCA Vantage, clinicians are able to standardise results by displaying and printing them in both SI and NGSP-derived units using the IFCC-NGSP master equation.
It can also be calibrated to automatically transfer patient and quality control data to electronic medical records and laboratory information systems.
The company said: “Siemens’ DCA Vantage analyser delivers lab-quality performance at the point of care, providing actionable results during the patient visit.”
Last month, the company released the Innovance PFA P2Y test, which allows physicians to gauge the susceptibility to bleeding of patients undergoing certain therapies.
