Posted on 31/03/2010 in Animal Health Supplier News Allianz Animal Health Insurance has confirmed that comedian and impressionist Alistair McGowan is to host its 2010 Petplan Veterinary Awards.
The BBC TV star will act as compere for the 11th annual awards, which will take place on April 8th 2010 and honour the outstanding performance of veterinary professionals from across the UK.
McGowan, who is well-known for his comedy show The Big Impression, follows in the footsteps of previous high-profile comperes such as Michael McIntyre and Frankie Boyle.
The comedian expressed confidence that the event will represent a "very glamorous and unforgettable evening".
Alison Andrew, marketing manager for Allianz's animal health division Petplan, said: "We're all excited about having Alistair as our compere this year, who I'm sure will keep everyone highly entertained on what will be another glittering awards ceremony."
