Posted on 31/03/2010 in Scientific IDS Limited has launched three additional fully-automated immunoassays intended for use with its IDS-iSYS Immunoanalyser.
The three new assays allow clinicians to use the device to analyse patients for the presence of insulin-like growth factor 1, parathyroid hormone calcium biomarker or osteocalcin bone protein.
This will provide professionals with data relating to a number of different conditions, including restricted growth in children, acromegaly and bone loss.
In total, six specialist immunoassays have now been launched for the IDS-iSYS system, with further complementary products set to be developed throughout 2010 and 2011.
Dr Roger Duggan, chief executive officer of IDS, said: "These are very important products joining the iSYS range - these latest launches, on time and on budget, add enormous strength to our offering."
The IDS-iSYS is designed to offer advantages such as the ability to simultaneously run biochemistry and haemostasis tests, with its launch having been identified by the company as heralding "a new phase of growth for IDS".Other news stories from 31/03/2010
