Woodley Equipment launches epoc blood analyser system

Woodley Equipment has released a new handheld blood analysis device which is designed to offer greater convenience and versatility for animal healthcare providers.
The new epoc clinical care analyser provides blood gas, electrolyte and critical care biochemistry results directly to a handheld PDA unit.
Its wireless, portable nature allows the device to be used in a variety of environments, including in a practice and on a farmyard, while its wireless connectivity allows it to interface with electronic data managers and Bluetooth printers.
The epoc is also designed to be fast-acting, producing precise blood gas and electrolyte results in 30 seconds, while its room temperature cartridge storage eliminates the need for refrigeration.
In addition, Woodley states that it is the first device of its kind to use smart card technology, allowing for error-free patient identification.
Other haematology-related products offered by Woodley Equipment include its RapidVet-H Companion Animal Crossmatch Kits and Rapid Vet-H Blood Typing Kits for cats.
