Ecolab recognised for corporate ethics

Ecolab has been honoured for its ethical business practices by the corporate responsibility thinktank Ethisphere Institute.

The healthcare firm has been included on the Ethisphere rankings of the World’s Most Ethical Companies for the fourth year in a row.

This list is compiled based on the evaluation of factors such as sustainable business practices, corporate citizenship, histories of regulatory dealings and overall codes of ethics.

Douglas Baker Jr, chairman, president and chief executive officer of Ecolab, expressed pride at receiving the award once again and underlined the importance of ethical conduct in the company’s business model.

He said: “We believe our focus on ethical leadership and corporate social responsibility, which are fundamental factors in how we conduct business at Ecolab, are why we are able to ? grow our business.”

Earlier this month, the company launched Spirigel Complete, a new ethanol-based hand gel which it states is the first fully virucidal gel to be made widely available across Europe.
