Lundbeck hails new senior vice-president of business development
23 March 2010 00:00 in Pharmaceutical Company Restructures
Lundbeck has expressed confidence that its newly appointed senior vice-president of business development Ole Vahlgren will play a key role in the company's future progress.
Mr Vahlgren has taken charge of corporate business development and strategy for the pharmaceutical company having originally joined Lundbeck in 2001.
In his time at Lundbeck, he has been credited with assisting in the firm's entry into the US market, as well as helping to arrange its alliances with Mochida and Takeda, which have led to the development of important antidepressant products.
He will now report directly to Lundbeck chief executive officer Ulf Wiinberg as he continues to play a central role in corporate acquisitions.
Mr Wiinberg said: "Ole is key to our business development, ensuring that we benefit from business opportunities both inside and outside the company."
This comes after the firm announced the appointment of Mette Carlstedt as its new senior vice-president for legal last week, making her the company's highest-ranking female employee.
