The nutrition and health company has published its annual Creating Shared Value Report, which highlights the fact that more than 7,200 Nestle products have now been "renovated" over health considerations.
Of these, 3,300 have seen their sugar, sodium, fat or artificial colouring content reduced by the manufacturer.
This comes in addition to Nestle's broader progress in improving sustainability, with the firm having reduced its rate of water withdrawal per tonne of product by 59 per cent since 2000.
Hilary Parsons, public affairs manager for Nestle, said: "This new report is our most comprehensive yet and shows our progress in implementing [and] creating shared value across the company."
Last month, the firm published its financial breakdown for 2009, during which it was able to achieve growth both in terms of sales and earnings before interest and tax.Other news stories from 15/03/2010
