Posted on 12/03/2010 in Pharmacy Supplier News Europharm has announced the appointment of Alexander Burstein as its new president after he was elected to the role at its recent annual general meeting.
Mr Burstein will take up the role at the pan-European pharmaceutical association for an initial period of two years, having previously served as a member of its board and executive committee.
He also currently occupies the role of director of development affairs at the Vienna-based pharmaceuticals company Sanova Pharma.
Mr Burstein stated that he will be looking to uphold the organisation's key objective of helping the business interests of pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies across the continent.
He said the body is committed to helping its members to "get access to new markets, to new products, to new partners, so all together they can create new business".
The Europharm organisation was originally founded in 2001 and now represents around 200 small to medium-sized pharmaceutical firms in 17 different European nations.Other news stories from 12/03/2010
