| Quintiles expands London research facility | Posted on 09/03/2010 in Marketing Services Quintiles has expanded its phase I medical research facility in London in a move to provide its clients with more efficient assistance in their research and development activities.
The medical services company has added capacity for an additional 35 volunteers, meaning that it can now accommodate 105 patients for phase I drug testing at the London site.
This comes ahead of the planned opening of another phase I unit in Hyderabad, India, which will be linked to other global sites with advanced information technology for easy and efficient clinical data sharing.
Eddie Caffrey, senior vice-president of global phase I activities at Quintiles, said this move will help its clients to increase the productivity of the research initiatives.
He said: "Our customers need a holistic solution that combines fast and cost-efficient regulatory studies with advanced scientific expertise and techniques such as modelling and simulation, biomarkers and microdosing for more complex studies."
