Bedfont Scientific breath analysis device receives recommendation

Bedfont Scientific has received an expert endorsement for its range of breath analysis devices, such as the piCO+ Smokerlyzer CO Monitor and the Micro+ Smokerlyzer CO Monitor.
The company's equipment has been tested by the National Physical Laboratory, the government-founded agency which plays a key role in maintaining accuracy standards.
Its study found that Bedfont Scientific's products were accurate in measurement of their target gases, while demonstrating limited interference from other substances which could cause false positives.
In addition, results from the devices were shown to be linear and reproducible, meaning they compared well against more advanced laboratory-based equipment.
Bedfont Scientific said these results are demonstrative of the fact that its products "are made to the highest possible standards of accuracy and reliability to ensure correct diagnosis".
This comes after the company last month won a recommendation of its Gastrolyzer breath hydrogen monitor device from author Dr Donald Bentley, who praised it as "an incredible piece of apparatus".
