Posted on 08/03/2010 in Medical Company Product News Kimberly-Clark has been named as one of the world's top five corporate citizens in a new listing compiled by Corporate Responsibility Magazine.
The health and personal care company was the top non-food consumer products business on the list, coming fifth overall and improving on its 2009 performance by four places.
Among the areas in which the firm was deemed to have made improvements were its corporate governance and human rights activities, while its environmental rating also increased.
Suhas Apte, vice-president of global sustainability at Kimberly-Clark, stated that this performance is reflective of the "essential" role that corporate responsibility plays in its business activities.
He added: "Our inclusion in this global best corporate citizens list is the result of the exceptional talent and collaboration of our more than 56,000 employees worldwide."
