| Leo Pharma collaborates on biological data analysis | Posted on 08/03/2010 in Pharmaceutical Company Restructures Leo Pharma has entered into collaboration with research company Intomics in order to improve its biological data analysis capabilities.
Under the terms of the agreement, the healthcare firm will work with the data and research specialist on a number of projects, allowing it to improve its methods of early drug discovery.
Thomas Jensen, founder and chief executive officer of Intomics, said that its expertise will be able to assist Leo Pharma in conducting its research in a fast and efficient way, despite the increasingly complex and challenging nature of medical research.
He added: "The synergy between LEO Pharma's research in dermatology and critical care and Intomics' expertise in advanced biological analyses will help face this challenge and lead to better, safer drugs."
Financial details of the deal were not disclosed by the companies.
Last month, Leo Pharma published data from a phase III clinical study of a developmental drug for pre-cancerous skin lesions, demonstrating the promising nature of the treatment's efficacy.Other news stories from 08/03/2010
